Is my data stored online?

No. Every account, category and transaction is stored in your device's own app storage. There is no server behind the app, no account system, and nothing is uploaded. The only way data leaves your phone is if you explicitly export a file and choose where to send it.

Is an internet connection required?

No. The app makes no network requests during normal use — screens, translations and calculations are all bundled into the install. It behaves identically on a plane and on Wi-Fi. The standard Android internet permission is declared because the app runs in a WebView runtime, but it is never used to contact a server.

Is the app free?

Yes, completely. Version 1.0 has no cost, no trial period, no ads and no in-app purchases. Everything described on the features page is available to everyone.

Will I need Premium later?

Accepted Answer

No. Premium is planned as an optional layer of extra features. Expense tracking, income tracking, accounts, categories, statistics, insights, import and export stay in the free tier. Premium will never gate access to data you already recorded.

How secure is my data?

The strongest security property here is architectural: there is no server to breach, no account to phish and no database of users to leak. Your data sits inside the app's private sandbox on your device, protected by the operating system's app isolation and your device's own encryption. Exported files are your responsibility once you move them.

How are the financial insights generated?

Accepted Answer

By straightforward calculations running on your device against your own transactions — a health score, a summary and observations about categories that changed. No external AI service or API is involved, and no spending data is transmitted to produce them. The app shows a full explanation of how the score is calculated.

Can I export my data?

Yes, at any time, from the Data screen. Export a CSV for spreadsheets or a complete JSON backup that can be restored later. The file is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it.

Can I back up my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes — export a JSON backup and store it wherever you like. Note that Android's automatic cloud backup is deliberately turned off for this app, so your finances are never copied to Google's servers without your involvement. Moving to a new phone means exporting a backup and importing it on the new device.

Can I import from another app?

Yes. The app reads CSV files, its own JSON backups, and SQLite exports from other money trackers. Import happens entirely on your device.

Does it handle multiple currencies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each account can have its own currency, and you choose one display currency for combined totals. There's also a built-in converter. Rates are under your control — nothing is fetched silently in the background.

Is an iOS version planned?

Yes. The app is already cross-platform under the hood and an iOS build is on the roadmap. There is no committed release date yet — join the waitlist on the download page and you'll get exactly one email when it lands.

Is cloud sync planned?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as an opt-in Premium feature. The design constraint is that data is encrypted on your device before anything is uploaded, and local-only operation remains fully supported. The privacy policy and the Play Data Safety declaration will be updated before any version that can sync is released.
