Is my data stored online?

No. Your accounts, categories and transactions are stored on your device, in the app's own storage. This version has no accounts and no cloud sync, so there is no copy of your ledger on our side. You can export and share files yourself whenever you want.

Is an internet connection required?

On Android, everyday tracking and calculations work offline. The web app on iPhone, iPad and desktop needs a connection to open, then reads and saves your records in your browser. Updating reference rates needs internet access; locally saved records remain available without it.

Is the app free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Everything in Sollus is free today — tracking, accounts, categories, statistics, insights, planning, receipt scanning, import, JSON and CSV export, and all six financial tools. A paid tier is planned, but nothing is behind it yet and there is nothing to buy in the app.

Will I need Premium later?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no paid tier in this version, so nothing is locked. Core tracking will always remain free, and you can always view, edit and export your own records.

Does scanning a receipt send my receipt anywhere?

Accepted Answer

No receipt photo is saved or uploaded. Sollus reads the QR code on your device and extracts the amount, date and receipt number from supported receipts without contacting the shop or tax service. The extracted details are saved with your transaction and synced only if you enable Cloud Sync.

How secure is my data?

Your records live in the device's own protected app storage, and Android's automatic cloud backup is deliberately turned off so nothing is copied to Google's servers without you. Because this version stores nothing on a server, there is no cloud copy that could be breached. The app ships with no advertising, analytics, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs.

How are the financial insights generated?

Accepted Answer

By straightforward calculations running on your device against your own transactions — a health score, a summary and observations about categories that changed. No external AI service or API is involved, and no spending data is sent anywhere to produce them. The app shows a full explanation of how the score is calculated.

Can I export my data?

Export a complete JSON backup for free from the Data screen. CSV export for spreadsheets is part of Premium. Exported files are created on your device, and you choose where to save or share them.

Can I back up my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and you should. Export a full JSON backup from the Data screen and save it somewhere you control. Android automatic cloud backup is disabled for Sollus, and this version has no cloud sync — so an exported backup is the only copy of your data that survives losing the device.

Can I import from another app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The app reads CSV files, its own JSON backups, and SQLite exports from other money trackers. Import happens entirely on your device. Worth checking amounts, dates and categories afterwards — no importer reproduces another product's structure perfectly.

Does it handle multiple currencies?

Accepted Answer

Yes — 165 of them. Each account can have its own currency, and you choose one display currency for combined totals. There's also a built-in converter. Reference rates are fetched once a day from a public exchange-rate feed and cached, so conversions keep working offline; the request carries no account and no transaction data.

Is there an iPhone version?

Yes, through the web app. Open Sollus in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. It opens full-screen from its icon. A native version for the App Store is planned.

Does Sollus have loan and mortgage calculators?

Accepted Answer

Yes — three of them, free, built into the app under Tools. The loan calculator handles annuity or declining-principal repayment with fees and grace periods. The mortgage calculator handles fixed, variable and promotional rates, loan-to-value, and the payment after a rate changes. The credit-card calculator handles statement balances, separate purchase and cash-advance rates, promotional periods and the grace period. All three run entirely on your device and show total cost as prominently as the monthly payment.

Are the calculators free?

Yes. Every financial tool is free to use today — the loan, mortgage and credit card calculators, plus debt tracking, early repayment simulations and offer comparison. No account or trial required.

Does Sollus show current bank rates?

Accepted Answer

Sollus does not retrieve bank offers. It supports reference rates: SOFR updates automatically from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, while rates such as EURIBOR and the National Bank of Moldova's base rate are entered manually. The app shows the source and freshness of each rate. Enter the lender's quoted terms to compare offers.

No. Sollus provides calculations and analytical tools for informational purposes. The results are not personal financial advice, not a recommendation to take or avoid any action, and not a statement that credit is available to you or on what terms. Real lender terms, fees, payment dates and rounding conventions vary, so verify any figure with the lender before you sign anything. For a decision that matters, talk to a qualified professional.
